KINGDOM OF FIFE - this word map was inspired by the Scottish Golf map - St Andrews is known worldwide for golf and the region has a wonderful coastline, many quaint villages and fishing ports with stunning seascapes.
THE NORTH - This word map was created as a commission piece but when I had finished it I thought it was a good one to add to my collection. It has also inspired me to start a Sutherland word map...
PERTH & KINROSS - this word map was inspired as I was going to attend the Perth Craft Market before Christmas. I wanted to have an area specific word map for the wonderful customers who come to this market no matter the weather conditions - lucky the day I was there was a beautiful dry cold day!
NORTH COAST 500 - this is a fantastic 500 mile coastal route round the North of Scotland. Launched a couple of years ago to promote the area and increase tourism, the North Coast 500 is proving to be very popular. It starts in Inverness and takes in some of the most stunning coastline and scenery, allows you explore remote corners of this wonderful landscape. I am pleased to say that I have over numerous years travelled the whole route - if you have not, then add it to your list of "to do's".
EAST LOTHIAN - this area has an amazing coastline dotted with white sandy beaches and numerous golf courses. It seems fitting to add it to the Regional Areas and the golf theme.
ARGYLL & THE ISLES - I am sorry it's taken me so long to get around to making this word map... as I from Argyll and one of these beautiful islands! The look of this map is a bit different due to the numerous lochs, sea lochs and inlets, this region is alot alike an island. So I have used the same technique as the outer islands with shading to help define the shape.
