Art By The Loch
is the design and creation
of detailed word maps.
These can include our wonderful lochs,
majestic mountains,
pretty villages and towns,
or anything that makes up our
amazing countryside and culture here in Scotland.

THE STARTING POINT - I have been living in The Trossachs for the past 15 years and I have been passionate about exploring this beautiful landscape here in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. This has inspired me to get creative - making my first word map of the National Park.
DESIGN - For each new map I will carry out detailed research and then choose the words I want to use to form the shape I require.
CREATING - I then type up all the words and then manually move them to create the desired shape on the screen, adjusting each word size, font, colour - no computer programme is used to produce the shapes automatically, they are all created using my hand eye co-ordination - so each map is a labour of love to design.
